Girls on the Run of the Rockies is a nonprofit after-school program for girls in 3rd-8th grade that aims to increase self confidence and foster self love and a healthy lifestyle –mind, body, and spirit. We are very proud to call this generous organization our client, and we wanted to share their philanthropic mission with our readers.
The Girls on the Run curriculum is 10 weeks long, and is designed to develop and enhance girls’ social, psychological, and physical competencies in order to successfully navigate life experiences. The organization uses the power of running to change the way girls see themselves and their opportunities. This is accomplished by encouraging participants to share and explore their beliefs and what they stand for, as well as the experiences and challenges that they face in their everyday lives.
Girls on the Run incorporates running, communication, and self-realization into one lively experience. The program is for all girls regardless of race, ethnicity, and socioeconomic background. Their goal is to help every girl recognize their inner strength, and to be able to define their lives on their own terms.
As a 501©3 organization, Girls on the Run of the Rockies relies on donations to keep their program, and their girls running. They depend on the support of donors, corporate partners and foundations in Colorado.
