This month commemorates our production manager Caleb’s, two-year anniversary at Out of the Blue Screen Printing. In honor of this milestone we wanted to highlight some of his accomplishments. Here are some interesting things Caleb has to share with us about his journey.
What brought you to Out of the Blue Screen Printing?
I had wanted to get into the screen printing industry back home (Wisconsin), but most of those jobs required a degree and experience. Once I moved out here OTB was willing to give me the opportunity to prove myself and work my way up.
What has changed the most since you’ve been here?
I’d say the processes, how we do things, and the people. I’ve seen us grow a lot in the two years I’ve been here. The work environment has also changed over the years. We have new equipment, team members, and clients.
What do you look forward to?
I look forward to the growth of the company. I am eager for more customers, more orders, and for updates to our production floor. Specifically getting rid of some old equipment, getting new equipment, and having more room to work.
What contributions at Out of the Blue Screen Printing are you most proud of?
The first thing that comes to mind is my work ethic and stability. I am also proud of how much I’ve grown and developed as a manager. I try to motivate and inspire others around me with my can-do attitude.
Tell us something fun about working at Out of the Blue Screen Printing.
We take our jobs seriously and we work hard, but we also like to have fun. We listen to a lot of different music while at work. We actually have set days for certain types of music. For example we might have a week where we go through decades. So Monday we might only listen to music from the 50’s, Tuesday would only be music from the 60’s, and so on. Some weeks may be dedicated to an ethnic style, so we might go an entire week listening exclusively to Mexican music, or Greek music. It keeps the work environment fun and we get to discover music that we otherwise wouldn’t haven been exposed to.
OTB sincerely appreciates what Caleb brings to the company. According to Blue Grimes the owner of OTB, “He’s a real go-getter and has an amazing work ethic. You can tell that he cares a lot about the orders he is in charge of printing for our clients. It’s obvious that he wants to knock their socks off and exceed their expectations. Caleb is great at what he does. We look forward to his continued growth and success with the company. He is a valued team member.”
